FAQ

You've got questions. We might have answers.

Are your canvases hand-painted?

Yes! Every Mesh & Mazel canvas is hand-painted on 18-mesh needlepoint canvas. Because they’re painted by actual humans (hi, it’s us), you may notice tiny variations from canvas to canvas. We think that’s part of the charm.

Do your canvases come with threads?

Our canvases are sold canvas-only—we don’t currently offer kits. But we love talking threads (possibly too much), so if you need ideas, we’re always happy to make fiber and color recommendations. Or take your canvas to your favorite local needlepoint shop and let them work their magic.

Are your canvases good for beginners?

Some are! If you’re newer to needlepoint, smaller designs with larger blocks of color are generally a great place to start. If you’re wondering whether a particular canvas is right for you, email us at hello@meshandmazel.com. We are very happy to have opinions.

Does the canvas include a stitch guide?

Nope. Our canvases don’t include stitch guides. We want you to stitch them however you like: basketweave, decorative stitches, fibers you already own, fibers you absolutely did not need but somehow bought anyway. You do you.

And if you’re looking for stitch ideas, we’re always happy to talk needlepoint.

When will my order ship

Mesh & Mazel is a very small business run by two rabbis with full-time jobs, kids, pets, and a truly unreasonable amount of needlepoint. We aim to get in-stock orders packed and on their way within 2–3 business days.

One small Jewish-business caveat: orders may take a little longer around Jewish holidays, when we’re likely to be somewhere other than the post office. We appreciate your patience!

You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your package is on its way.

How much is shipping?

We offer $4.95 flat-rate shipping on U.S. orders—and shipping is free when you spend $100 or more. Because more canvases should come with perks.

All orders ship from Los Angeles with tracking.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because our canvases are hand-painted and made in small batches, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.

Of course, if your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please email us at hello@meshandmazel.com and we’ll make it right.

Do you ship internationally?

Maybe! International shipping can involve additional shipping costs, customs, duties, tariffs, and other things we are still learning about.

If you’re outside the U.S. and would like to place an order, email us at hello@meshandmazel.com before ordering and we’ll see what we can do. Please note that any customs fees, duties, or taxes charged by the destination country would be the responsibility of the customer.

Will sold out canvases come back?

Usually! We paint our canvases in small batches, so things may sell out from time to time. If something you love is out of stock, sign up for a back-in-stock notification on the product page and you’ll be the first to know when it’s back.

Do you do custom designs?

Sometimes! If you have an idea that feels particularly Mesh & Mazel, or you’ve been dreaming about a canvas that seems right in our wheelhouse, email us at hello@meshandmazel.com. We’re always happy to hear a great idea and see if it’s something we can bring to life.

Do you sell wholesale?

We’re working on it! If you’re a needlepoint shop interested in carrying Mesh & Mazel, email us at hello@meshandmazel.com.

I have another question!

Excellent. We probably have an opinion about it. Email us at hello@meshandmazel.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
